TONIGHT (Tuesday May 1) marks one year of weekly showcases at Kreuzberg in SLO. Show starts with L.A.'s Edward Tree -- he's produced over 70 CDs, recorded and toured with Spencer Davis, Rita Coolidge, Juice Newton, Al Stewart. Come hear him at 6:30, stay for local duo Modern Afternoon, Santa Barbarans Bill Lanphar and Alex Nishi, San Francisco's Clay Hawkins, Nashville's Kenny Freeman. A Celtic Journey with Molly's Revenge -- Songwriters At Play update

I'm really excited about the talent coming to Sculpterra Winery in April -- L.A.'s Brad Colerick (this Sunday April 1), rising country star Sara Petite (April 8), husband-wife pop duo Sweet Talk Radio (April 15), Celtic trio Molly’s Revenge (April 22), and guitar master Martin Paris (April 29).

Stuart Mason of Molly's Revenge has invited more local players to join in on April 22 for "A Celtic Journey" opening with Riley and Aiden on the Highland bagpipes (as they've done at the Live Oak Folk Festival), The Gillie Wheesels, Atascadero duo Young Ireland, and Creston fiddler/dancer Amaya Rose.

BIG FUN IN A SMALL TOWN: The Porch in Santa Margarita is our longest-running weekly showcase. It feels like a gathering of family and friends. This week we feature Kern River troubadour Lost Hills -- a modern-day Woody Guthrie who sings of working class struggles and life on the backroads of America.

WINE SOUTH, WINE NORTH: Sample some wine and song this weekend! We start in South County on Saturday at Laetitia Winery. Then it's up to Sculpterra Winery in Paso on Sunday. Both shows are 1-4pm, open to all ages. Bring a picnic!

MONDAY AT THE SPOT: Guitarist Tim Pacheco (whose melodic instrumentals are inspired by John Fahey and Will Ackerman) headlines, joined by Russel Green on violin, Chris O'Connell on harp and Cindy Myers on vocals.
