Feb. 1 is set for the debut of Songwriters at Play showcases every Monday 5:30-8pm at Senor Sancho's, 2927 Spring Street, Paso Robles, CA.  Full dinners, drinks and desserts are served.  http://www.senorsanchos.com

Kenny Edwards, founding member of Linda Ronstadt's Stone Poneys band, is the featured performer on Feb. 1.  Edwards was also a member of the band Brydle with Karla Bonoff, Andrew Gold and Wendy Waldman.  He recently released his second solo CD, "Resurrection Road".  http://www.kennyedwards.com

Guest performers on Feb. 1 will include Senor Sancho's President Carlos Leyva, who has recorded with Grammy-winner Louie Ortega. Kyle Williams, Gary Garrett and host Steve Key will also perform.  The format is a little different from other Songwriters at Play showcases: three guest performers will share the stage and play in-the-round 5:30-6:15, and another trio of writers from 7:15-8pm, with the featured act in the middle of the show.

All ages are welcome.  There is no cover charge, but a tip bucket is passed for the featured act.

Steynberg Gallery will be the new home of the Tuesday showcases, beginning Feb. 2.

The gallery currently presents concerts, and our showcases will be presented concert-style in a venue more suited for listening.

There will be a $5 cover charge, split between the venue, the featured acts and me. I'll still pass the tip bucket for the featured act too. Same showtimes, 6:30-9:30. The gallery has a cafe, serving tea, espresso drinks, beer and wine, as well as salads, sandwiches and desserts.
